A Special Version Of The Oscars Unintentional Musicals Clip & More.

If you managed to sit through this year's Oscars, aka The Academy Awards, without falling asleep or switching the channel to watch Hoarders, you might have noticed a few funny little segment about the year's Unintentional Musicals.



The clip was an auto-tuned version of scenes from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1, Toy Story 3 , Twilight Eclipse, and The Social Network created by the Gregory Brothers who've made a name for themselves auto-tuning the news. These are the same guys who brought you the hilarious and catchy Bed Intruder Song.



The following 2:00 clip is from the Gregory Brothers' own site and is a special version that includes The King's Speech and does not include The Social Network. It must be for some sort of legal reason that this is a different cut than what aired [that version has been removed from youtube but at the time of this post could be found here on Popeater.]

Brass Monki Puts Pop Culture On Kicks Resulting In The Coolest Custom Nikes.

Brass Monki is a talented 22 year old artist named Daniel Reese who hails from Merseyside [near Liverpool] in the UK. In 2009 he began using software to place pop culture imagery and icons from video games, movies, art, comic books, logos and other popular brands upon footwear.



The response was so positive, he began to actually hand paint one-off pairs of leather Nikes and sell them online. His eye for composition and color makes his creations very desirable as wearable art. Below are his designs, several of which are available for purchase.

A Photographer's Homage To The Cult Classic Comedy Movie Caddyshack.

For most comic movie buffs, all one has to say is "golf" and "gopher" and there's no doubt you're talking about Caddyshack. The cult flick, first released 30 years ago now, is still remembered fondly by many.



So much so that advertising, commercial and editorial photographer Ted Sabarese has recreated many of the classic scenes as an homage to the movie.

From the snickers bar in the pool incident to the relentless pursuit of the gopher by the groundskeeper, the scenes have been immortalized as the following still images and trading cards:

about Caddyshack:
At an exclusive country club for WASPish snobs, an ambitious young caddy (Michael O'Keefe) from an overpopulated home eagerly pursues a caddy scholarship in hopes of attending college and, in turn, avoiding a job at the lumber yard. In order to succeed, he must first win the favor of the elitist Judge Smails (Ted Knight), then the caddy golf tournament which the good judge sponsors. The story also involves an obnoxious nouveau riche land developer (Rodney Dangerfield) who wants to turn the site into a condominium community; an oddball, Zen-quoting, millionaire slacker/golf ace (Chevy Chase); and a psychotic groundskeeper (Bill Murray) with a gopher-fixation.
